Classic Gruyere Founde

A warm, comforting blend of melted Darima Gruyere whisked with white wine and garlic. Silky, smooth, and beautifully aromatic, this fondue lets the natural depth and alpine richness of Darima’s cheese shine perfect for cosy gatherings and cheese lovers who appreciate authentic flavour.

 

Serves: 4

Ingredients
Gruyère cheese – 300 g, grated
Dry white wine – 1 cup
Garlic – 1 clove, halved
Cornflour – 1 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Black pepper – to taste
Nutmeg – a pinch

Method
Rub the inside of a heavy pot with garlic. Add wine and heat gently until warm.
Lower the heat and gradually add Gruyère, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
Mix cornflour with lemon juice and stir into the fondue to thicken.
Season with pepper and nutmeg. Serve hot with crusty bread, potatoes, or vegetables.
